Games made in Meriden, Connecticut.
The stories now come with a controller. This is where Rauel Crespo’s games live. Right now, that’s Pocket Racing.

Big world. Tiny car.
Pocket Racing is an arcade racer for little RC cars in giant Connecticut places: a backyard canyon, a castle on the river, a beach on the Sound, a hilltop park. Drift to fill your boost, jump and flip through the air, slam onto the walls and ride them, and grind rails while you keep your balance.
Race the other eleven drivers with foam darts, water balloons and gum drops. Play stunt parks, arena battles and Wheelball, a ball game, with the same cars. Bring up to three friends for split screen on one PC.
The free demo for Windows is out now, and it gets updated regularly. Early Access on Steam is planned by December 2026.

How it drives
- Drift to boostDrifting fills your boost. Hold it longer for a bigger drift kick.
- Grind railsJump onto a rail and steer to keep your balance. Fall off and you lose the line.
- Jump, hover, flipJump, then hold to hover on boost. Land a flip and you get boost back.
- Wall rideSlam toward a wall in mid-air and drive along it.
- DraftTuck in behind another car for more speed, then pull out and slingshot past.
- Split screenOne to four players on one PC, in racing and in Battlesville.
Racing items: Foam Dart, Water Balloon, Shield, Gum Drops, Top of Doom, Battery Surge, Drone Attack, Track-Sus, Seismic Slam and Tornado. Toy weapons only. Cars get wrecked, nobody gets hurt.

Planned: Story Mode
An open world, at RC-car scale.
Story Mode is planned for Pocket Racing. It will be an open world: a whole Connecticut to drive around in, with the cars shrunk down and everything else full size. It’s early days. Rauel will show more as it takes shape.

Rauel Crespo is a musician and author from Meriden. He designs Pocket Racing’s tracks, drivers, cars and modes, and wrote every song on the soundtrack. Many of the tracks are real Connecticut places, rebuilt at 1/18 scale.
Thanks to Tomley RC and Kevin Talbot, whose RC videos got Rauel into bashers and crawlers years ago. That love for RC cars runs all through this game.
How it’s made
Pocket Racing is made by one developer working with AI tools. Every song was written by the developer, based on chapters from his own books; he directed the instrumentation, and Suno performed the vocals and instruments. Logos, driver portraits, track thumbnails, menu art, concept art and some 3D models (such as Falcon Field’s flying fortress and the driver characters) were generated with ChatGPT, then selected, edited and placed by the developer. The drivers’ 3D cars were modelled with ChatGPT and Claude (Anthropic) from the developer’s own concept designs. Much of the game’s code and level construction was written with Claude, under the developer’s design and direction. Engine sounds were recorded from local cars. Other sounds and textures come from credited libraries or were made for the game. All game design, tracks, characters, cars and modes are the developer’s own.
Full credits and licences are in the game.
